Vision screenings serve an important purpose but a screening is just that it’s simply a very short series of if you will observations by usually an untrained professional as they are looking for early signs that a person cannot see either with one or both eyes. It’s been determined through analysis that children that cannot read the chart were only detecting 5% of the actual vision problems that could impair learning in children. 1 out of 4 children today have a vision problem that will impact learning if it is not corrected.
